Make up tips to make eyes appear bigger?

my eyes are smallish does anybody have any make up techniques to make them look bigger? I was told not to use black eyeliner because it make them look smaller but i still want to define my eyes because they get kind of lost in my face if i don't. help?Make up tips to make eyes appear bigger?
Off-white or plain white eyeliner on the bottom and a really light shadow on the top works pretty well for me.


It also makes you look more awake.

you were told wrong wear black eyeliner just don't make too wide of a line on the lid or too small make it a regular size and remember to put some on the lower part of the eye to cause a bigger effect also wear eyeshadow using three shades work the best make sure they go togetrher and you don't over use it apply the dark on the lid go on top with the medium shade(upper lid) and the lightest at the beginning of the eye look up some pics it looks great

A way to really open up the eyes in appearence is to lengthen your eyelashes.


So wear a lil more mascara than usual.


Or go out and buy fake eyelashes.


They come cheap these days and look very natural.





Try using a medium green as eyeshadow [perferred brand is Merle Norman]. This draws attention to your eyecolor and makes it pop a little more.

Line the inside of your eyelid with a white pencil liner. I always like to use visine before I do this and it makes your eyes look bright and huge. Also curl your lashes, Put a little pale eyeshadow under your brows and on the inside of your eyelid at your nose. Remember to blend. Use a darker shade of liner above your lashes and blend it with a similar powder shadow. No rough edges, make everything smooth
I know that putting dark eyeliner ALL around your eye makes it look smaller, so I'd say avoid that by only putting the eyeliner along the top or bottom seperately... probably along the top would be best, especially if youll be wearing mascara since that will give the same effect as liner on the top and bottom. As for anything else, I'm not too sure. hope that helps you a bit!
I depends of your eye color.





For light brown- use purple eyeliner


Dark brown- sapphire





Blue- either sapphire or black (use it lightly)





Mascara can help- but don't use it so thickly that it looks like you have spider eyes.





Eye-shadow





Go with natural colors. Though bright colors are fun, they can make your eyes look smaller.





If you go to the mall or a place like Ulta, they can help you because they can actually try the colors on you. Good luck

and curl your lashes, put on a few coats of mascara


curl them again and put more on and


put some on the bottom. personally i dont like eyeliner


anymore, but if you want, put some only in the corners

I agree- stay away from heavy black eyeliner. You should lightly line your top lid in a natural color (brown) and apply mascara, and then (this is key) curl with an eyelash curler- it's the best tool for opening eyes. You could also add a highlight to your brow bone.
You can use black liner, but you have to pull down the bottom part of your eye and apply it above your lower lashes, and then on top use a lighter colored eyeshadow, and use a little bit of a darker shade on the side and upper part of your lids. (the sides farthest from your nose)
Yes, white eyeliner in the inner rims on your eyes, light shimmery eyeshadows make them seem bigger and if you wear dark eyeliner (or any colour i guess) then apply it starting from the middle of your eye or just before it and not right from the inner corners

Use should use light eyes shadow instead of dark. Apply white eye liner on the bottom of your eyes it will make them pop. Only put darker eyeliner on the top of your eyelids.
I use silver eyeliner to go round my whole eye and then use my black eyeliner. I start from the center of my eye lid and then to corner.
just line your top lid with a thick layer of any color eyeliner.


this will make your eye appear more almond shaped which is very sexy and slightly bigger=)
apply shadow up to brow line, use a plum or grape colored liner.


try a bronze/gold/shiny cream colored shadow.

Try using a gray liner to boost up the eye area.
if you curl your eyelashes and put mascara on the bottom as well it helps a bit
