Make-up tips to make eyes look brighter/more awake/younger?

I'm 26 female; I don't get enough sleep so I end up looking more tired with make up on, I just put some gold eyeshadow in the corners and black mascara with pencil eyeliner on bottom lid.

Do you have any tips to make eyes look brighter, less tired and perhaps younger? A lot of people guess that I'm older than I am, I guess my eyes look older :)Make-up tips to make eyes look brighter/more awake/younger?
Apply your other basic make-up like foundation, blush and your lip wear.

Dab a bit of foundation under your eyes that is a shade lighter than your skin shade. This will make your eyes instantly brighter.

Create a smoky eye look with eyeshadow (that's a darker shade closer to your eye and adding lighter shades all the way up to your brow, and for this effect the color under your brow should be white).

Apply a white eyeliner on your waterline. This is the number one tip to making your eyes appear wider and more awake! It will instantly make your eyes bigger. You can find white eyeliner at almost any drug store or makeup store that you'd buy your other makeup at.

Apply a mascara that makes your eyelashes look longer, not fuller. Making them longer will give your eyes a better ';awake'; effect than making them fuller will. Making them fuller will just make your face look too dramatic.

If your eyes are a bit red when you wake up, use some cooling eyedrops.

Tips

If you add a small amount of shimmer powder under your eyes, your eyes will look 10 times brighter! It's a great effect!

It might be a good idea to make a thin line of a dark eyeliner under the white eyeliner if it looks a bit strange.

Warnings

If you try to apply a dark colored eye shadow with the white eyeliner, you'll probably come out looking plain odd becuase your eyes will look bigger but too dramatic. You want your eyes to be softer as well!

WHITE EYELINER!!! [pencil on the lower lash line]
I use two products from Avon. I use Anew Ultimate Eye at night and also a product called Lighten Up when I have the darker circles. This really helps my makeup not to be so heavy around the eyes because it evens the skin tone before I put on makeup. You can order those things online and they only charge you $3 for shipping, no matter how much you order!
Use foundation just a shade lighter (don't get too light or you end up with the reverse 'raccoon' eyes look) on and under your eye. This will also help eye makeup stay put. Then dust under lashes with a shimmery shadow in a nude, gold, or pale pink. Stay away from greys and purples.

at night, when you get home, put a cool compress on your eyes for 10 minutes or so, wash your face and MOISTURIZE!
I have always bought foundation that was 1 to 2 shades lighter then my skin tone, and use it just underneath and around my eye. This helps to hide dark circles and even hide some rinkles. Just dont go over top of that with your regular foundation =)

Also, if you get a light color, almost wite or a light tan color eyeshadow and put that right under your bottom eye lid, and right above your eyeliner on the top lid, it also helps to make your eyes appear brighter.

Stay away from dark colored eye shadows that will make your eyes look smaller and tired.

Hope it helps =)
keep your moisturizer refridgerated... Apply it to the puffiness in or around your eyes... then using a flat yellow or pale white shadow under your lower lid will brighten your eyes... The cold cream, will bring down the swells of your eyes and put the skin in shock mode, and will reduce the puffy look and capilaries from coming to the top of the skin....

Apply the same shade to the center most corner of your eye as well to waken up the upper lid...

Appy all other make-up as usual.
Hi there!

Sweep a bit of white eyeshadow right under your eyebrow (on the brow bone). It does wonders to make you look more rested!

Also, you can try using a small amount of white eyeliner in the corners of your eyes, close to your tear ducts, this also helps to give you a brighter and more youthful appearance.

Try to steer clear of shimmery shadows on your eyelids, because the shimmer tends to settle in the skin folds and makes your eyelids look crinkly and heavy.

You may want to try some light tans and pale pinks (matte, not sparkly) as well.

Hope this helps!! :)
Listen to the girl above me and Clinique has a good kind.

Mine is actually ';gold'; and works great.

Also, like a white creamy shadow pencil below the lash line helps.
dark eyeshadow makes them look bigger too much outliner makes them look smaller
well, from what everybody told me is that if you want to open your eyes or try and make them look brighter you should wear a lighter color eye liner/eyeshadow. (I have blue eyes.) From what i discovered is to try and match the color you are wearing. Or apply a lighter eye shadow and when you do put it all over the eyelid and just so its under your eyebrow. It also helps to put it out towards your outer eye some. Then it looks even better if you put a eyeliner that is about the same color as your eyeshadow most of the times. If you apply Two or Three colors of eyeshadow on, make sure to always put the lightest color in the inner eye part. I usually wear like a pinkish or a lighter blue colors. I always wear warmer colors most of the time. Well, i hope this info will help you out a bit!!! GOOD LUCK!!
put white liner on the bottom, cark liner emphasizes dark circles.keep using the mascara but only on top..it open up your eyes
Get some liquid eyeliner and put it along your top lid with a slight flick out to the side. Makes your eyes look alot bigger :)

And get eyelash curlers. They make your eyes look bigger as well :)
Use white eyeliner. Put a cream based eye shadow a similar color to you're skin on you're eyelid, and underneath it.
if you want an 'instant brow lift' use benefits 'high beam' just under your eyebrows it makes them look much higher up and younger. Eyebrows are very important as they frame the whole face!!
