Make up tips for acne and large pores?

This is very last minute, but I have a Christmas party this evening (Dec. 16) at my boyfriend's work. I've not met any of his coworkers yet, and from what I hear, I'll be the center of attention for the first part of the evening. I want to look my best but with the acne that I have, plus large pores and oily skin my makeup tends to look awefull within an hour or so. If anyone has any tips or ideas on how to make the make up look presentable it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!Make up tips for acne and large pores?
Begin with exfoliating and then moisturise with an oil free moisturiser. Wait until it has soaked in before applying an oil free dewy foundation designed to stay. Then use a concealer to touch up any acne marks/scars. Let set, then dust a loose powder over the face (try Loreal in Translucide). This will keep the makeup in place for longer. Try not to use pink or red toned blushes/eye makeup as these can emphasise the acne. Try a light bronzer sweeped across cheeks and line eyes with a gold shimmery shadow. Have fun!Make up tips for acne and large pores?

well if you put cold water on your face and i mean the coldest water that you can get, then right after, and i mean RIGHT after put the hottest water that you can possible take. it should make your face light up and get that grease and pore problem gone. for the acne i suggest to put a little powder on it and no foundation. even if you still show some acne you should look fine. nut if not make a distration to somewhere else. like your eyes of hair or even cloths then that will be the thing they look at not your skin problems.
There are many cheap and effective home remedies for acne. Tomato slices, turmeric, papaya juices and home made face packs will treat existing pimples and prevent further problems. More remedies at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html
Mary Kay has great products for acne and large pores. To learn more click the link below.
On certain nights where I need to stay oil free as long as possible, I wish with Neutrogena's oil control foaming cleanser. It dries up the skin and makes it tight, so i also put just a dab of moisturizer.

Then I put my make-up on as usual. If you use a use a liquid foundations, pat it on, dont smear. Make sure you use a wet make-up sponge too.

Cover with a sheer powder or a pressed powder foundation and bring it with you! Make sure you use a brush, and not the pad they give you.

Then bring it with you. When you start to feel oily, re touch your powder on your T-Zone.

You can also bring with you oil absorbing sheets to touch up too.

Good luck and have fun!!
Here's a tip; buy Oil of Olay and read the instuctions. you can even get it in the little jar, this is an awsome skin treatment! (- Cold Cream- is what it's called.)
Well I have some of teh same problems you do, and what I find works perfectly is Bareminerals you can buy it online or at a store, wehre teh store is i dont know but it works hide the acnea and it is super tough during the day and doesnt come off till you wash your face its perfect and it covers the big pores perfectly. It will make your skin look perfectly healthy and flawless.
Use mineral makeup, its better for your skin and looks more natural and will look much better even with the acne
