Make up tips for a big nose?

I have a largish nose...nothing too big but the skin is quite tight and shiny when I smile and makes my nose look huge. Does anyone know any makeup tips to help a big nose look smaller? Thanks.Make up tips for a big nose?
To slim down a wide nose at the bottom, apply a little dark foundation just above each nostril and blend it into your regular colour.

To narrow your nose at the bridge, dot a little dark base at the top of the nose and at either side of the bridge.

For uneven noses, apply the dark foundation to the bump to disguise the flaw. Applying a line of foundation right down the centre of a nose can also make the nose look straighter.

Darker shadows of make up minimize any flaw to a high degree. And i completely agree to the given answer 'confused' gave!
http://www.makeoversolutions.com/beauty_鈥?/a>
Lets have a look then!

x
I agree with confused. Use a darker colour shadow on any parts that you want to play down, and a highlighter on your good features to make them stand out. So you could highlight your cheekbones if they are good, and shade the prominent parts of your nose.
yes dark line down centre and at the tip of the nose will reduce the size 'shadowing effect'

Steve Martin played a good character with similar problem the film was called Roxane i think..
if you use highlighter (the shimmery cream stuff ppl use on their cheeks to define cheekbones) is reli good if u apply a thin line along ur nose.

but vaseline always works!!

oh put powder on ur nose first if u av a shiny nose!
As a general rule with make up, use darker colours on parts you want to sink in, and highlighters on things you want to emphasise. I would use blusher on the sides of your nose and nostrils and highlight the centre slightly to make it appear slimmer and longer
take a paper bag cut out eye holes %26amp; place over head. See how good your nose looks now?. I think i deserve best answer for that advice

Any great make up tips for a brown eyed girl?

I am really into make up....but I can't find the right shade for lipgloss and eyes! I am a pre-teen if that matters, but any ways help!!!! :-)Any great make up tips for a brown eyed girl?
You should use golds and dark blues for your eyes !

Gold on your tear duct, a brown or medium blue color on the lid, and a dark blue on the outer edge/crease ! BLEND !!

For your lips, if you are a bit tanned, use a pale pink color, or a nude lip. This will look gorgeous !Any great make up tips for a brown eyed girl?
I'm a brown-eyed girl!

:) You know what looks really cute. The Amy Winehouse look. It's just basically eyeliner on your top lid, don't put it on crazy like she does--it's just not great for any age! :) To pump it all up you could try a smokey eye look with diffrent shades of purple, you could get a kind-of light brown eye shadow that believe it or not pops your eyes out, or a very light colour of pink looks cute!

Try to go with light natural looking colours, after all you want the boys to think you're natural and make all the other girls look like barbies xD

:)

For lipgloss:

A cute glossy colour like pink or red :)

Red looks amazing on brunettes!
Colors that go with brown eyes are gold and bronze, shimmery blacks and

greys for smokey eyes and purple. Wear a shiny lip gloss, that works for everyone

Thank you.
I have BIG dark brown eyes, and I mean big haha. Normally I just put on a small amount of eyeliner under my water line and smudge it a little with a smudge tool, it creates a smokey look. Then I apply a lot of mascara to long eye lashes, you can curl them first. Just use a light pink gloss for your lips and blot it with a tissue after so it looks natural and not intensely shiny. It's a natural quick look but I get compliments all the time on my eyes.

For eyeshadow, purples and golds are great colors for brown eyes.
Light browns look good in slate blue, white, metallic..if you are light skinned

Dark browned people look good in light blue, lavender, and dark blues, greens as well. Gently line the inside rims of your eyes with black eyeliner. It looks fabulous. Reds are exceptional too. Black eyeshadow and brown eyeshadow does not make your eyes pop. Brown-eyed people have versatility when it comes to choosing eyeshadow colors.
I have brown eyes and I found that a little bit of eyeliner on the bottom of my eyes with mascara on top makes them stand out more. I use a mauve coloured eyeshadow as well, and it makes my eyes look a lot lighter, because they're dark. The whole effect makes my eyes look bigger too.
Color's that go with brown eyes are gold and bronze, shimmery blacks and greys for smokey eyes and purple.

Wear a shiny lip gloss, that works for everyone!

The best eyeshadow colors for brown eyes are green or purple.

Any any make up tips to emphasize eyes or anything!?

I have pale skin with freckles on my cheeks/nose, long thin straight strawberry blonde hair and bright greenish blue eyes.

I really want to emphasize my eyes, but any tips for anything works too!

thanks so much:)Any any make up tips to emphasize eyes or anything!?
pale skin, u should not wear heavy/dark makeup, ull look like a ghost!

if u want ur eyes 2 b green, wear purple eyeliner and mascara n khaki eyeshadow. colors that bring out green are purple, khaki, and carbon blacks. I like to use tan shadow (light), purple liquid eyeliner on top and light gold ish shadow as liner on bottom with purple mascara. blus are broght out by pinks and browns. wear lighter brown eyeliner and brown mascara with skin-toned pink shadow, lightly. alwyas wear blush too, but nto a whole lot.especialy cuz u have fair skin. a little goes a long way good luckAny any make up tips to emphasize eyes or anything!?
Golds and light pinks will attract light to your eyes and accent the colors in your hair.

Lashes, lashes, lashes! Play up your lashes! I use Maybelline New York Lash Stiletto. It's amazing! My lashes are really short but with this, it makes them so long and full. Also try an eyelash curler before you put mascara on.

Maybe use a pastel eyeshadow like pink. Then lightly outline your eyes with a black eyeliner in the rims. This will definatly make the eyes stand out.

Make up tips to make eyes appear bigger?

my eyes are smallish does anybody have any make up techniques to make them look bigger? I was told not to use black eyeliner because it make them look smaller but i still want to define my eyes because they get kind of lost in my face if i don't. help?Make up tips to make eyes appear bigger?
Off-white or plain white eyeliner on the bottom and a really light shadow on the top works pretty well for me.

It also makes you look more awake.

Hope I helped!Make up tips to make eyes appear bigger?
you were told wrong wear black eyeliner just don't make too wide of a line on the lid or too small make it a regular size and remember to put some on the lower part of the eye to cause a bigger effect also wear eyeshadow using three shades work the best make sure they go togetrher and you don't over use it apply the dark on the lid go on top with the medium shade(upper lid) and the lightest at the beginning of the eye look up some pics it looks great
Use the black eyeliner.

But not too heavily all the way around the eyes.

Mainly on top.

A way to really open up the eyes in appearence is to lengthen your eyelashes.

So wear a lil more mascara than usual.

Or go out and buy fake eyelashes.

They come cheap these days and look very natural.

Try using a medium green as eyeshadow [perferred brand is Merle Norman]. This draws attention to your eyecolor and makes it pop a little more.

Hope it helped.
Line the inside of your eyelid with a white pencil liner. I always like to use visine before I do this and it makes your eyes look bright and huge. Also curl your lashes, Put a little pale eyeshadow under your brows and on the inside of your eyelid at your nose. Remember to blend. Use a darker shade of liner above your lashes and blend it with a similar powder shadow. No rough edges, make everything smooth
I know that putting dark eyeliner ALL around your eye makes it look smaller, so I'd say avoid that by only putting the eyeliner along the top or bottom seperately... probably along the top would be best, especially if youll be wearing mascara since that will give the same effect as liner on the top and bottom. As for anything else, I'm not too sure. hope that helps you a bit!
I depends of your eye color.

For light brown- use purple eyeliner

Dark brown- sapphire

Blue- either sapphire or black (use it lightly)

Mascara can help- but don't use it so thickly that it looks like you have spider eyes.

Eye-shadow

Go with natural colors. Though bright colors are fun, they can make your eyes look smaller.

If you go to the mall or a place like Ulta, they can help you because they can actually try the colors on you. Good luck
i have the same problem

the contacts i wear make my eyes smaller for some reason

put silver or any light/white color of eyeshadow on the

inside of your eyes, its my number one trick

and curl your lashes, put on a few coats of mascara

curl them again and put more on and

put some on the bottom. personally i dont like eyeliner

anymore, but if you want, put some only in the corners

magic =)
I agree- stay away from heavy black eyeliner. You should lightly line your top lid in a natural color (brown) and apply mascara, and then (this is key) curl with an eyelash curler- it's the best tool for opening eyes. You could also add a highlight to your brow bone.
You can use black liner, but you have to pull down the bottom part of your eye and apply it above your lower lashes, and then on top use a lighter colored eyeshadow, and use a little bit of a darker shade on the side and upper part of your lids. (the sides farthest from your nose)
Yes, white eyeliner in the inner rims on your eyes, light shimmery eyeshadows make them seem bigger and if you wear dark eyeliner (or any colour i guess) then apply it starting from the middle of your eye or just before it and not right from the inner corners
Black mascara. And if you click this link http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a>

it shows some makeup that makes blue eyes pop. And if you scroll down it shows some other eye color pallettes
ok so i have naturally big eyes and i think what you should do is add some mascara to the top eye lash and eyliner on the top lid like this....

http://www.rosejoyce.com/ProductImages/z鈥?/a>
Use should use light eyes shadow instead of dark. Apply white eye liner on the bottom of your eyes it will make them pop. Only put darker eyeliner on the top of your eyelids.
I use silver eyeliner to go round my whole eye and then use my black eyeliner. I start from the center of my eye lid and then to corner.
just line your top lid with a thick layer of any color eyeliner.

this will make your eye appear more almond shaped which is very sexy and slightly bigger=)
apply shadow up to brow line, use a plum or grape colored liner.

try a bronze/gold/shiny cream colored shadow.
mascara really opens up the eyes.
white eyeliner.. i think it looks weird but they say it works
white eyeliner (some ppl call it eye widener)
I'm not sure but I think you would like makeupalley.com. You can ask a ton of questions like this.
thin brownish sparkle eyeliner and only on top eye try it, im not sure but good luck!:)
ok use poder around your eyes that always makes it bigger
Try using a gray liner to boost up the eye area.
if you curl your eyelashes and put mascara on the bottom as well it helps a bit
use white eye liner on the skin above ur bottom eyelashes

What make-up tips would you recommend for a person with black hair, very dark eyes and very pale skin?

What shade of lipstick, eyeshadow, etc would suit a person with black hair, very dark eyes and very pale skin best? What make-up tips would you recommend for a person with black hair, very dark eyes and very pale skin?
You sound really exotic looking, so you can either play up your eyes by doing really dark eye makeup (Black eyeliner in a cat-like style and thick mascara) or your lips with a pretty plum or red color. If you don't like a lot of makeup, use a light pink or purple eyeshadow and white eyeliner to brighten your eyes, a pale lipstick or gloss, and some blush. What make-up tips would you recommend for a person with black hair, very dark eyes and very pale skin?
oh try a pink eye shadow pink blush and a nude lip.. try it well good luck oh yea a brown eyeliner
Dramatic eye make up, like smokey blacks and a slightly tinted lip gloss. Although sexy, the gothic plum lips can make your teeth appear yellowish.
More eye makeup is needed for these features. I have the exact combination and I use dark eyeliners and shadows to bring out my eyes. Try dark green shadows. Lip wise, you can apply a very light color. Use colors like pink and mauve.
Lilac and subtle brownish/purple tones are good on people with dark eyes. On your lips you want to use pinks because of your pale skin tone. Also, don't hide the fact that you have pale skin. I think porcelain skin is beautiful. I would just smooth out your skin with a tinted moisturizer that matches your skin tone and put a little bit of pink blush on the apples of your cheeks just to give you a little color.
Try applying powder with your skin tone color. light brown eyeshadow and peachy orange for blush and peach lipgloss. that would look great ^^ but it still depends on the occasion...
You need to find out what your undertones of your skin are before you can decide what make-up looks best on you. Undertones are blue or green of your veins. Once you figure that out, you can decide on whether you can wear warm or cool colors. Find a good Esthetician %26amp; have them help you with your make-up.

i agree with both of the other two answers, but if you really want to make your eyes pop, and your eyelashes extra long, which is something every one wants...then wear mascara and curl your eyelashes. i mean you don't have to wear too much if you don't want to but why not? you eyelashes would be soo long. i'm sure a ton of people will be very jealous lol

Just your basic foundation.I'd wear very little or no eye liner or mascara because if you sweat it'll be all over your face.If you'll dance in coreographies in the same day, wear a very light eye shadow.

What are some good make-up tips?

I have never been much of a girlie girl, but as I get older I am becoming more of one. I am fair complected, so finding color is scary for me. I am completely lost lost when it comes to make-up. I have been using the same foundation forever and I know there must be something less heavy. Can anyone help? What are some good make-up tips?
The new thing that everyone is loving now is the mineral powder foundation that Bare Escentuals started. Bare Escentuals is amazing but it's also pretty pricey and can't be found at local drugstores. I reccommend Almay Pure Mineral powder foundation (see link below). I'm also fair skin and found that more neutral colors (brown, bronze, gold) look best for eyeshadows and more neutral/slightly pinker lip colors look best. What are some good make-up tips?
    1. Comb your lashes after you apply mascara. You will want to use a clean mascara wand or a mascara wand brush. They also have lash separators you can buy. This helps separate the lash and also helps with flaking and clumping.

    2. Bleach your eyebrows one to two shades lighter than your natural brow. This can soften your facial expression. I highly suggest you get this done by a professional.

    3. Use white eyeliner to line the inner rim on your lower lash line. It makes eyes brighter and opens up the eyes. Instead of the white you can also use a pale color like yellow or pink.

    4. Pack an eyeliner color on your entire lid and place a similar eye shadow color on top. This will intensify the color of the eye shadow and make the shadow stay on longer.

    5. My signature mascara technique. I like to take the wand to the top lash and pull the wand through the lash and wiggle and turn the wand in a 360 degree motion. From the bottom lash wiggle upwards through the lash. Apply several coats.

    6. When applying your eyeliner use small dots along the lash line and connect the dots. If you have pencil eyeliner, sharpen between each use.

    7. Apply your lipstick then place a tissue over your mouth and apply loose powder on top of the tissue, then re apply your lipstick. This will make the lipstick last longer. To make lip gloss last longer start with a dry lip. If you just moisturized blot with a tissue.

    8. Apply dry shadow to lid, then wet applicator, dip in same color, and draw a line close to upper lash line. You'll get a subtle contrast of shading they'll make you a standout.

    9. Keep all your tools clean. You can use a mild shampoo and conditioner for your brushes. An antibacterial soap for your sponges. Your eye curlers you can use alcohol. Wipe your powder between each use with a tissue. Scrap the top of your lipsticks, and use disposable wands for your glosses, your product will last longer.

    10. Use a primer under your foundation that is going to make the foundation look transparent but also radiant. It will also help you foundation stay on longer and protect your skin.

If you want to use a lighter foundation, you may want to try a powder foundation or a mineral foundation, you can also find liquids with a sheer coverage, but if the foundation you have works, why would you want to change it

Metallics in the gold, bronze, brown and pink family look great on brown eyes. My favorite eyeshadow look is to go with a neutral shimmery beige color on the lid and use a darker accent color - it can be darker brown, purple, dark blue or even green. If you are feeling adventerous, you can always match you purple eyeshadow with a dark purple eyeliner. (If it is too light or too purple it will not be flattering - it should look black from a distance.)

Just a reminder, if you are going for eye drama and playing up your gorgeous eyes, be sure and go with a neutral blush and lip color. Otherwise you will look way too made up!Any make up tips for brown eyes?
    Brown Eyes:

Greens, purples, blues, champagnes, bronzes, gold鈥檚, and browns are some of the most popular shades that play beautifully with brown eyes.

Purple and green eyeshadow looks great! Other than that, stick to warm, natural colors like browns and golds. It depends on your skin tone and hair color too but you can't really go wrong with those colors. Please no blue. I've tried blue many times and it really does not flatter brown eyes.
i have brown eyes and i don't like them i think they look boring try using a really bright color i love purple but also some kind of greenish blue color try to put bold colors on they well bring out you eye color trust me use mascara also make your eye lashes stand out

    hope i helped
keep it either really dark or really light.

i have like chocolate brown eyes and i use a black eye liner with silver or grey eye shadow only on my eye lids.

or for everyday i use brown eye liner with tan eye lids.
use a purple, or red eye shadow also use blush, it works a hell of a lot for me, also wear eyeliner on your eyelids, and ofcourse under them too, it kind of makes your eye color stand out more. hope this helps
try going for some earth tones or even plum tones. and if you want more advice go to a make up place like mac or benefit and ask them to show you how to contour your colors and what they suggest.
pink blush is always really pretty. Not too much eyeliner cuz it will look like your trying to hard to wear makeup, and it will make you look dark. go with pinks/ blue eyeshadow.
purple and light blue shimmery eyeshadow! you can dip the brush in water and use it as eyeliner.
purple eyeshadow (like violet), It sounds weird but it works. Also gray/silver looks good with dark brown eyes, so does greenish brown/bronze.
    Purple Eyeshadow! :)

invest in a decent concealer. i like MAC studio finish concealer or bobbi brown corrector myself -- i have hereditary dark circles myself and they're pigmented enough to cover them up without caking or flaking. pat it over the problem area with the pads of your fingers and set it with a translucent powder.

the skin under your eyes is a very delicate area, so don't be too rough with it. for long term results, find a good eye cream that you can apply at night.Make up tips for someone with dark colouring under the eyes!?
nuetrogena has a couple of different eye concealers that are god, just make sure you do this before applying any eye make up bc that will definately interfere with that.

    Good Luck
I too have dark coloured bags under my eyes that make me look constantly tierd. Then i found a make up trick its a concealer that comes in a lipstick but its for your under your eyes. and belive it or not its a light green colour as green cancels out browns and purples. i apply the green concealer then add my normal fondation and if my eyes are really bad i add a mineral powder over the top then do my smokey eye make up and its works fab. I don't know where your from but i bought mine from boots its natural collection and was only 拢1.99!
Try drawing a white line on the inside of your eyes. Or underneath if you like the look. See below.
Hiya take 2 spoons put them in the fridge for 15 mins take them out leave them on your eyes for 5 to 10 mins then apply Gariner eye roll on it comes with with a metal ball so it is easy to apply and massage in with the ball once that is applied and dried apply the gariner eye cream (they come in green packages) and apply 4 little dots to each lower eye and pat in with your ring finger and then wait until it dries and apply a concealer with brightening properties will help the look of dark circles oh 1 other thing is to drink 2 litres of water a day. once you've done this apply the concealer to your eyelids and then dust a little bit of loose powder on this to set it this is a good eye base and will make them last alot longer then apply eye make up
DO U MEAN DARK CIRCLES. FIRST U NEED TO TAKE CARE OF THAT, I USE A GREAT PROD FROM I.Q DERMA TO GET RID OF THE CIRCLES AND WHAT IS GREAT IS THAT U GET TO TRY IT FREE FOR 30 DAYS, IF IS NOT WORKING U RTN IF U SEE A DIFFERENCE U KEEP IT AND PURCHASE IT IT ALSO COMES WITH A CONCEALER, WHICH IS ALSO A SKINCARE.

    HOPE THIS HELPS! :)
don't use a green coverstick the green cancels out red. you need a light reflecting concealer i think collection 2000 do one for 拢4.99 and that's the cheapest i have found one for. I think you can also get eyeko ones from superdrug. The concealer will reflect the light and make your dark circles lighter and much less noticable.

also use urban decay primer potion to make sure that the eyeshadow stays on your eyes and doesn't fall onto your dark circles making them darker.
Vitamin K or rather the 'lack of it' makes the skin under your eyes turn dark. Get some Vitamin K and some concealer. Apply your concealer with your index finger going from the inner eye area to the outer. Then put on some foundation....a lil blush on your cheeks and temples (the temples makes your face look slimmer) and then go for your eyes...NEVER wear any eyeliner on the bottom lid of your eye. I suggest one of the eye shadows that come with 3 colors that blend together, maybe a light blue, with a darker blue and grey. Good luck. The dark color goes on the middle of your eye lid or the 'crease'..I usually only use 2 colors, the dark color in the crease to contour and a lighter shade on the lid and right under neath my brows.

While you're home alone play with different shades til you come up with the look your going after.

Make up tips for blonde haired, blue eyed girl who knows NOTHING about make up?

Can anyone tell my what colors of make up, what kinds to use or even how to apply it. I have lite to medium long blonde hair bluish gray eyes and a round face, I'm 19 yrs old and never wore make up in my life, Please help if you canMake up tips for blonde haired, blue eyed girl who knows NOTHING about make up?
For your skin type and eye/hair color, you can either go light and natural or dark and dramatic. Both will work fine. Since I don't know your clothing style (it DOES makes a difference), I will describe both.

    Natural

    1. Mascara - dark brown, but no black. Place the brush in the center of your lash line and blink down on the applicator three times. Place the brush on the outside corner of your eye and blink down three times. Any more than this and your lashes will look too clumpy or too unnatural.

    2. Liner - peach and medium brown. Use a pencil liner, as they are easier for beginners and look softer. Apply the brown just above the upper lash line on the outside half of your eye. Apply the peach eyeliner to the inside corner of your eye. This will brighten up your face, drawing attention to the center.

    3. Blush - go with a very light powder blush, or none at all. A soft rosy color is good. Take a brush and swirl it gently in the blush. Tap it against the side to remove excess - you don't want to look like a clown. Smile so you give yourself ';chipmunk cheeks';, and swirl the brush onto the fattest part. Be very careful with blush, though, as newcomers can often overdo it.

    4. Foundation/Powder - since I don't know your skin type, I'd say to play it safe and go with just a powder the color of your skin tone. Dust it evenly over your face and onto your neck with a brush. Even better, go with a simple tinted moisturizer if you have relatively blemish-free skin.

    5. Lips - you should probably stick to a clear or light lip gloss, preferably very sheer. It polishes off a look and makes your lips ';kissable';, but is very easy, especially for newbies. Stay away from sticky stuff! Goopy lips are NOT attractive.

    6. Shadow - go simple here. Pick a tannish color for your lid, and apply a lighter color above the crease.

These should suit you fine for now, and work well with casual and business outfits.

    Dramatic

Blush and foundation/powder remain the same.

    1. Mascara - use black, and apply it thicker.

    2. Liner - Use black liquid, and line the top lid from the center to the outside, thicker towards the end.

    3. Shadow - use turquoises, purples, emeralds, and sapphires. For application, check here:http://beauty.about.com/od/allaboutyoure鈥?/a>

    4. Lips - use lipstick. If your eyes are darker, use lighter lipstick. If your eyes are lighter, go with a cool, dramatic red.

This look is for when you want to be bold and dramatic, such as at a dance.

Hope that helps! :)Make up tips for blonde haired, blue eyed girl who knows NOTHING about make up?
i know exactly what you mean!

when i first started wearing it,

i didn't know what to do!

alright, here's some good colors for you:

    light blue

    purple/magenta

    lime green

    teal-ish colors

    maybe orange...?

to start off, you're gonna need foundation

[i would suggest that matte mousse stuff,

it works really well...find your skin color

and only put a little on your whole face]

    bronzer/blush,

    [smile when you apply it--

it helps you find the apples of your cheeks.]

eyeliner in blues, browns, greens and blacks,

[and colored if you're really wild]

[line the lower lid, and upper if you want

but don't go all the way to the inside of the eye..

you don't want to get ';eye boogers'; haah]

    eyeshadow

[get a package with several colors for some variety.

use the little brush to swipe over your lid...

    not too much!]

    and mascara

[run over your eyelashes, top and bottom if you want,

and coat them again if you didn't get enough].

and you can't forget lip gloss.

    victoria's secret is AWESOME

    but loreal will work too.

you can find all of this for pretty cheap at walgreens or cvs.

    good luck!
it would depend on the occasion, your best bet it to go the a major store like Macy's or J C Penny's as they have trained personal in their make-up department that can advise you as to what, when and how to apply.
wow. i would not like to be you right now. id be scared.

the ABSOLUTE best thing you can do is go and see a beauty consultant. theyll pick some good things for you to wear and show you how to apply them and then you can just do what they said until you feel more comfortable trying things on your own later.

what you should avoid is going out and buying a stack of stuff you dont even know looks good on you and putting it on badly. start off with simple, basic stuff in natural shades and use it minimally. work up to brighter colours and more dramatic effects as you gain confidence.
If you are able, ';Estee Lauder'; has make-overs.

Because you are 19 it is a good time to learn about taking care of your skin. Make-up should enhance your good features.

This could be a fun day for you and your mom. Speak to her about this if you have a good relationship with her. Sometimes sales women can sell you things you do not need.

The important thing is to wash your face and neck in the morning and at night with an antiseptic soap and believe it or not, yes your ears and behind your ears, moisturize you face and neck with a good moisturizer and if your skin is sensitive to the sun, make sure it has a sun blocker in the moisturizer. Never smoke cigarettes! This will ruin your face as it inhibits oxygen and creates wrinkles, no joke. So will drinking alcoholic beverages. Those two things age women like nothing you have ever seen. Stay away from those to take care of your health.

I might suggest, matching mascara to your eyelashes colour, a little blush, and lipstick. Lipstick is actually to protect lips from too much sun, wind, or cold.

If I had a daughter, we would run right over to the Estee Lauder counter for a make over and then off to lunch.

    I wish you well.
you should try black mascara,a light pink blush, shiny pink but not to pink lipcolor, and a light eyeshadow that matches good with your skin tone.

    hope i helped!Good Luck!:)
Almay ';Bring Out The Blue'; eye makeup... I am a huge fan:

    http://almay.com/pg/main/catcoleyeslips.鈥?/a>

Don't use black eyeliner. It takes away from your pretty blue peepers. Use brown. Sometimes I use dark if I want a dramatic effect. Most often I will use a light, golden brown.

Usually I will wear my eyeliner on the top inner rim and the bottom inner rim of the eye, but not accross the lid. I think it is a more natural look that way. When putting it on top of the lid, I never go too thick.

For shadows, you want gold tones. Yellow is opposite of blue on the color wheel and so it will make blue stand out the most when the two colors are paired.

You can even try enhancing your blue eyes with a bit of blue eyeshadow or some blue mascara. Just be careful because blue eyeshadow can get real trashy real fast.

Since you are just starting out, try getting Almay's Smart Shade foundation. It only comes in three shades: light, medium, and dark. It goes on white and then blends into the color of your skin! It is so amazing, I looove it. It only about ten dollars too, which is relatively cheap for a quality product. If you decide to go for a different foundation, look for an oil-free foundation that will prevent breakouts. Before buying, rub a little on your hand to see if it matches up. If your foundation is too dark you will look like an orange sponge cake. :]

If you have less-than-perfect skin then try a Covergirl concealer underneath your foundation, and L'Oreal true match powder over the top. This will make for an overall flawless look. I usually buy my powder a shade lighter than my foundation, just because for some reason it makes my skin look great.

I really reccommend seeing a Mary Kay consultant or a beauty rep behind the counter of a decent makeup store (Try Sephora or Dillard's). I got started with makeup by having a visit with my mom's friend who was a Mary Kay consultant. She gave me a makeover and then handed me her big fat book of samples and an book of tips and let me go crazy for a week. After that I realized that I knew what I wanted to do with my life. haha.

    Tips for good makeup

    http://www.askaquery.com/Answers/qn1713.鈥?/a>
Ok im assuming that you alien to makeup

First things first you need to start off by washing your face then apply your moistizer leave this for 5 or so minutes so your skin can absorb it any excess rub off with a clean towel. Now you need to apply concealers to any under eye bags and spots.

Next if apply your foundation or tinted moisterizer Put a little foundation on the hand.Dot it over the face-on the nose, the cheeks, the chin and the temples and in between the brows.Use the colour on the blush area. This is the part of the face between parallel lines, one extending outward from the corner of your eye and the second from the bottom of your nose.Smile and lightly touch the blusher brush on the fatty part of the cheek and gently brush the blusher toward the temple, making a slight curve.Blot the face lightly with a tissue, especially over the forehead, nose and chin.Pick up the powder on the puff and press it firmly on the face, one area at a time Now add eyeshadowUsing a fine, blunt-ended brush, gently apply the base colour to the entire lid from the inside to the outside corner and from the base of the lashes to the eyelid crease.

ii.If the eyes need extra definition, a deeper shade is blended into the crease line. This gives depth to the eyes.

iii.The brow bone is highlighted with a light shade. This gives the eyes a wide, open look. The colour is applied to the most prominent area and blended up towards the brow and down to where the contour curves down, toward the eyelid creases.

Before using them on the lids, always test the colours on the back of the hand to test the intensity. You can use even 3-4 colours, provided they are blended well.Remember pale tones emphasize, while deep sooty shades define.

Now use eyeliner Work from the inside of the eye to the outside corner and keep the line light and even.If you stop at the corner of the eyes, the effect will be round and wide-eyed

Next Mascara, For best results, first look down and brush the top lashes from the roots downwards, then look up and brush the top lashes upwards. Then still looking up, brush colour on the lower lashes.Wait for a minute for them to dry, and similarly apply a second coat. Finally brush with a clean dry brush, to separate the lashes.

Next you want to outline our lips using either a color close to your natural lip colour or the lipstickk that you are wearing. For the upper lip, start at the centre and work out, towards the corner of the mouth. For the lower lip, work from side to side.

Next use a lipstick using a lip brush with smooth even strokes. Finally finish off with a coat of lip gloss or balm

Caution wearing this much makeup at once can cause an undesired look if you want dramatic eyes then only wear a nude colour on your lips and no foundation practise these skills and you'll be a pro in no time X
Well, depending on how much you want to spend, try going to Nordstrom and visiting a few make up counters like Chanel (which has great eye shadows, mascaras, and foundations), MAC (large variety of colors, lip liners, and eye liners), and Lancome for more eye shadows and the best lip gloss in tubes (They also come in sets)... They will give you a free make up session if you purchase an item.. They always help you out and give you info about each product and what would look best on you.

Choosing colors will depend on the following:

    1. your skin and eye color

    2. what colors you like

    3. The occasion

    4. what you are wearing

If you are going to apply eye shadow then try to get a base or a cream to apply before to help the shadow stay on longer and nicer... (Chanel eye shadows last for a very long time, and they don't crease or wear off)

Lip Gloss is in...Lancome has the best, they are not as sticky as other lip glosses and stay on for a good period of time, too.

If you want to get a bronzer, Bobbi Brown has the coolest one and it comes in 3 different shades (pick what's best for you)

If you wear foundation, try something different like the organic stuff, and if you don't like it, Chanel has great foundations and so does clinique.
well always try to match makeup with color clothes you chose for the day . If you have a small lower eye lid choose a lighter color and highlight the whole eye. Then choose another for the lid kinds smooth that out to a v shape just above the lid line. If you have a larger bottom lid three colors will work fine for you.

Also when wearing blush find where your cheek bone begins closer to the ear start there with sweeping motion not circular.
i'm noot that good with makeup.but pinks are always good mostly.i would wear clear shiny lipgloss which makes your lips glisten but people will still see the color of your lips.natural is better so don't ever wear too much of anything.get a friend to help pick out a color of eyeshadow.make sure its not very dark.mascara is good to wear and don't apply very much so it loox like you have naturally pretty eyelashes without people seeing bi clumps.that's all i would wear for now.you could layer things but i wouldn't.
If you really want to wear make-up you should start out simple. Use a moisturizer, foundation, powder, blush, eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow,鈥?then lip gloss. Choose colors that look good for your skin tone. They need to match. Most people want to go for the natural look.
personally i'm not a make up fan so i just sue alittel eye liner to bring out my eyes, and lip gloss. u probably could the same. until u get comfortable with wearing make up. natural beauty is always a plus. like me.

I have brown hair and blue/gray eyes, any make up tips?

My eyes are well odd-they're blueish gray and outlined in dark blue and I have brown hair. Every time I wear eyeliner I look goth and every time I wear eye shadow I look like a prostitute or goth and it's soo not the look I'm going for! HELP!I have brown hair and blue/gray eyes, any make up tips?
Oh man! Problems of makeup application!

You are probably not putting it on right, WItht he eyeliner there is a trick I use.

Pull down your eyelid, Put your finger on it there is your inner eye skin, a little flat section, and your skin around your eye.

You want to put the eyeliner on that little flat section in the middle.

Also It is essential that you use a good eyeliner.

The best I can find is Maybelline's Unstoppable Crayon.

It stays on about 8 hours and it goes on smooth and clean.

It sells for about 4 bucks depending on where you live.

    For Eyeshadow try this:

Close one eye (or look at someone else's eyes closed) Apply eyeshadow only between the Inside Corner of your eye, and a little befor the outside corner of your eye.

Also don't apply eyeshadow about the crease of your eye, it will help to not make you look slutty or anything.

I find that the brand Elf has good quality eyeshadows that last forever. They sell very cheap too, about a dollar for one eyeshadow color.

    Hope I Helped!

    XOXO

GabbyI have brown hair and blue/gray eyes, any make up tips?
Have you tried going to the make-up counter and having a make-up artist help you? I have blue-gray eyes as well (and am sure I am much older than you!), but use Bobby Brown gel eyeliner. You have to apply it with an ultra fine eyeliner brush, but I love the stuff. Currently I use espresso ink (a brown eyeliner) but have also used one with a more blue color (can't remember what color). Anyway, I am sure with any cosmetic line you choose, a make-up artist can show you tricks to get the look you want!
use bronze liner, black mascara, and eye shadows in coppery, shimmery brown, peach %26amp; gold tones to bring out the blue in your eyes. using pink, purple, grey, silver, and blue shades will accentuate the grey in your eyes.
i have the same problem. i use prestige eye liner. get the one that's not self sharpening. it will be dark, but it lightens. it's called soft blend kohl. basically amazing. and i use covergirl eyeshadow. the name is urban basics, it has 4 shades of browns. i use dark. then on top of dark use medium. then on top of both use light. and outline your crease with the lightest. for mascara use clinique lash doubling mascara. and for foundation, go to clinique and let them match your skin tone. and for lips, i use clinique #22 pink beach. it's pink sparkly. but not too sleezy. =)

What can I do to make my eyes bigger? (exercises,tips,make-up tips)?

i was wondering because id like to have bigger looking eyes, my eyes are about medium-sized to begin with---but what are some makeup tips so that I don't look Asian? (due to the fact that I usually only get 4 hrs of sleep a night my eyes don't look that big)

so any tips would be great, thanks ';)What can I do to make my eyes bigger? (exercises,tips,make-up tips)?
you can't exercise your ice bigger.

to make them look bigger do the following:

use concealer under your eyes, especially if you have dark circles.

line your lower eye with a beige-y eye pencil (white looks too harsh).

line your upper eye with black eye pencil (brown if your skin is fairer).

make sure the line is thin. you can add a little swish in the corner to make your eyes look more doe-like.

use a shimmery eye pencil and dot the inner corners of your eyes (where you cry from).

curl your eyelashes using a lashcurler. be sure to hold for about 20 secs.

put some mascara (same color as upper eye pencil: brown or black).

coat several times slowly to avoid clumps.

    voila. bigger brighter eyes.

if you use eyeshadow, dust a color that compliments your skin and has a bit of shimmer. What can I do to make my eyes bigger? (exercises,tips,make-up tips)?
Well, try and get at least 6-7 hours of sleep, that will surely help. Also, what you can do is pencil line your eyes with a color in between brown and champagne color, and then look for an eyeshadow that is exactly alike or close to it and with a lining brush line your top and bottom lid again with that.
when you line your eyes.... line the bottom and top in black... but then in the waterline on your lower lash line (the inside near your eye ball) line with white. also...curl your lashes. Warm up an eye lash curler with a blow dryer...and then apply mascara. also try putting some white shimmer shadow in the inner corners of your eye right by the tear duct.
your cant really change your eyes. you can make them lok bigger though. just try different makeup stuff,.

white eye liner on the water line(inner rims) works great for me :)
(woah im asian i dont even look asian! im a filipino =]) STARE AT YOUR BF. HAVE A STARING CONTEST! i can never stare though, it hurts my eyes, hmm, while trying to stare use your fingers and make ur eyes wider!
    use dark eyeshadow.

    xx
put brown in crease of eye to the outer only dont put it on ur eyelid as this is wrong!!

Make up tips for a party?

I'm going to a party tonight and I need some tips.

I have got blonde shoulder length hair, pale-ish skin and bluey-greeny-grey eyes. (seirously, they change colour when I'm in different moods.)

Sutle make-up is best as I hvae been told that i'm ';stunningly beautiful'; by several people (not just men who want to get me into bed!), but not wanting to boast, I wouldn't like to say this for sure.

Thanks everybody - I appricitae you're help. (Make-up must ';match'; red nail polish). I'll decide what I'm going to wear after I've decided on make up first.

THanks again.Make up tips for a party?
If you're pale and wearing red lipstick everything else should be subtle. How about golden eyeshadow, not gaudy glittery shadow, a golden warm frost, similar shade blush and brown pencil tracing your entire eye, top and bottom with a good brown mascara. Oh I just noticed you said red polish so wear golden or red lipstick. The contrast will be beautiful.Make up tips for a party?

Cool, my eyes change too! From bluish green to green to grey depending on my moods...Anyway, I suggest a smoky eye and pale lips should look awesome with your pale skin and blonde hair
    dont no
glitter liquid eye liner from urban dicay is great! and just go for some suttle blusher onyour cheaks and i really dont recomend red nail polish!! lol
    try polyfillers
Mary Kay . Com actually has this cool thing on their website called 'virtual make-over' It will match the right colors for your skin, eye, and hair colors. Even shows you how to apply that certian area correctly!

I usually use this, print it out, and go and find the colors to match it at local stores (just so I can use the brands I like best!)

    Hope this helps! :)
for eyeshadow go with i light color like gold or something for ur hairdo like a ponytail with a little piece of hair on the sidelike my avatar...lol use a pinkish redish blush and skin color cover-up
do a bit of a gwen stefani style of hair and make, hair up nicely, front pinned and up in straight ponytail, red or cherry lipstick, black eyeliner

or same make up and hair curled
I've got a personal ';tip'; for you. But I need to ';apply'; it on you in person.
Either concentrate on the eyes or lips. I think you should concentrate on your eyes as these will make you look glamorous plus you have blonde hair. Try a dark green... this will bring out the colour of your eyes... whatever colour they are!! Try a subtle colour for your lips like a pinkish coloured lipgloss. Try a little pink blusher just below your cheekbones. And off you go!! Good luck!!
shimmering cheek highlighter to accentuate the cheek bone sutle gloss with a redish tint to it and lts of black mascara
I'm not sure what your question is.
some light foundation - almay do a good one

light bronzer for a sunkissed look - pout

light brown and slightly darker brown eyeshadow - mac

blusher very lighty to give high cheek bone effect - pout

    clear lip gloss - mac
well if your soooo stunningly beautiful why do you need make up or red nail polish, I'm confused....
red lip stick a little blusher to make your cheekibones hire and for your eyelids some suttle glitter

    3. Get a nice haircut that will make you look good in photos, that should help.

I'm african american. I'm not dark or light skined I'm in the middle I have dark brown eyes..I usually only use eyeshadow.I like my make up to be noticeable but I don't wanna stand out 2 much. So does anyone have any tips and can anyone tell me where to buy make up and what kind 2 get???I'm 14 and my first day of high school is Monday..so does any one have make up tips?
    Hey.

I think for school it has to look natural but still noticeable. So browns and golds or bronzes. Especially as you have brown eyes, use a bit of green to make the colour pop! For your base use a colour close to your skin tone. Go over that but don't go into your inner corner of the eye with a darker colour in brown. Then at the crease of your lid gradually blend in towards the center of your lid with the green and then just on the crease and blend out in a wing shape in a darker warm brown. On your brow bone highlight it with a shimmering white and blend down into the other colours. Make sure there aren't any harsh lines! As this can make it look really cheap looking and you want to look natural. If you want to, add a bright eyeliner for a pop of colour.

I think that coastal scents is great for makeup, they do palettes which are amazing and not too expensive. They make a shimmer palette or a matte palette.

    Monday?? I start on September 28th! :O

    Annywaaayy moving on::

    Applying eyeshadow:

    1. Apply a light eyeshadow over your entire eyelid from lash line to eyebrow bone, but not beyond.

    2. Define the crease of your eyelid using a medium or dark shade. The deeper the shade, the more dramatic look.

    3. To open up your eyes so that they appear livelier, place a dot of a light shade in the inner corner of each eye.

    Applying eye liner:

For a natural-looking eyeliner and the illusion of lusher, fuller lashes, use a dark brown eye pencil and carefully press a series

of dots between your lashes following your lash line.

For the sophisticated look, draw a smooth fine line alone the top lashes.

To create the dramatic look, draw a line inside your lash line (as close to the lashes as possible), then along the top of the lash line.

    Hope i helped! :)
I'm 16 and I use Merle Norman Total Finish Compact Foundation. It's $20, so if you don't want something that expensive, CoverGirl Tru Blend Liquid Foundation. If you don't want to use foundation, you can try a tinted moisturizer like CoverGirl Aqua Smoothers Tinted Moisture SPF 15. For eyes, I like to use neutral shades. They go with any clothing and any style. I use Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadows. They come in palettes with four similar shades together. I use Lancome Mascara and it's $25, so if you don't want to go that expensive CoverGirl LashBlast Volume Mascara in black or brown. I use Clinique lipglosses, but I would suggest Covergirl Fruit Spritzers for someone like you. All of these products can be purchased at your local Walmart, Target, and Rite-Aid stores.
    Whoa, you start on monday?

    I start on September 8!

Make-up you should consider purchasing with your eyeshadows: Mascara, a decent Eyelash curler and a primer or base so your eyeshadow will look more vivid and last longer.

If you have the money, I would invest in department store eyeshadows. You could go to Macy's, Sephora, etc. Some great eyeshadow brands are Mac, Urban Decay and Make-up forever.

If you want to get drugstore quality make-up, I would highly recommend NYX, they have good pigmentation and a large variety of colours.

Try using 4 eyeshadow colours when you're doing your eye make-up. One for your whole lid (example, a light brown), one in the inner corners of your eyes (a light shimmery colour), one in the outer crease (a darker brown), and one for your brow bone (a matte light beige).

Make sure you don't go crazy for shimmers, use 1 or 2 shimmer eyeshadows and the rest for mattes.
I'm not sure about your school, but mine doesn't let us wear make up until later years. But I dont listen to them XD

Maybe for the first day it'd be best to see what everyone else is wearing ( not that you should follow the crowd) we just dont want you having any make up disasters.

Try a natural look, with an even foundation to smooth out any blemishes, only a little blush ( if you need any ) and a small amout of mascara would be nice. Don't go over the top with massive clumpy lashes though. You might want to risk a little eye liner to define your eyes more and then a natural colour lip stick or just a lip gloss. Put a little fit of your foundation on your lips so the lip gloss stays on longer. I wouldn't slap on too much make up for the first day, but if your worried you could always take some make up with you to school. :)

    Hope this helped :)
Honestly, at school, make up isn't really essential. What I would do is not use too many bold colors. I'd stick with top and bottom eyeliner, mascara, then take a white eyshadow and sweep it near your tear ducts, and take a blue eyeshadow and sweep it across your lower lashline, because blue just really pops on dark skin. Since it's school, you don't really want to look too overone.

Any makeup you buy at this age should probably be kind of inexpensive, since it's just a beginner collection, I'm assuming ? I would stick to drugstore makeup, like Revlon Colorstay quads or the Loreal H.I.P Duo, with the blue and white, i believe ? They're some of the higher end drugstore products. E.L.F. Brushes are sold for cheap too, usually $1.00 each.
pink lip gloss usualy makes teeth look better, making your smile look more inviting

and also lilic eyeshadow brings out brown eyes

try not to over do it tho, you dont want people thinking you try to hard

Make-up tips for dark hair, blue eyes, fair skin (no freckles).?

I can't seem to find that magical combination of make-up for me. Please help with some tips, and brand names would be very helpful! I have dark brown, naturally wavy hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. Lip shades, eye shadow, etc. Thank you!Make-up tips for dark hair, blue eyes, fair skin (no freckles).?
I too have very dark hair, blue eyes and very very fair skin - so fair that some people have asked me if I'm feeling ill because I look so pale! haha

Well I had a REALLY hard time in finding a foundation that would match to my light skintone....but then I found out that MAC do one, it's a liquid foundation and its No20 as far as I remember. But it wasn't something I could afford to buy on a regular basis as it only comes in a tiny tube and is quite pricey. But then I found a brand called Stargazer, and it applied 10 times better than MAC and lasted a LOT longer, blended so much better and did not irritate my skin. It's really high quality and really good price too. You can find it by searching on google for ';stargazer cosmetics'; as they have a website where you can purchase it. Check out their other cosmetics too as they're fantastic especially the loose eyeshadow powders....

As far as colours go; I go for quite pale lips either a light coffee/beige or just clear or lightly tinted lipgloss and usually smoky greys and blacks and slivers, browns, coppers and golds. Sometimes thought I'll use really dark shadows on the eyes and add some bright pink to accent it sounds odd i know but it does look brilliant!

Hope this helps you just have fun experimenting and eventually you'll find the right look for you!!!!

look up michelle tractenberg(especially her look in gossip girl since she has dark brown hair there) follow her look, and add your own twist to it of course. the best thing everyone should do though, is find the right shade of pink to go with them, one hot pink and the other neutral, that way, you can stand out with bright, or go natural with light.

I have the same colorings as you and I quite often get told to stick with neutral tones, like bronzes and browns and to use black mascara to make our eyes pop! :) Try doing just a clear coat of gloss on your lips, and a two part combination of browns on your eyelid. start light in the corner by your nose and then move out to a darker shade.

Make-up Tips, for olive skin, brown hair & hazel eyes?

I have a party coming up an want to really do somthing different with my make-up, I wondered wot would suit me best? Im also wearing a darl purple dress.

I also wondered if anyone has any tips for things like, my eyes are quite small; so I wondered how i could make them look bigger, and really make them stand out along with my cheek bones

Thankss xMake-up Tips, for olive skin, brown hair %26amp; hazel eyes?
put black eyeliner on the top of your eyes not the bottom. it cant be to thick either. then put mascara on the top and bottom eye lashes. eye lash curlers don't work to well, but what does make your lashes look pretty is to take your mascara brush and put it on top of your top eye lashes then simply twist it to make them curl. you can also get a shimmery white eye shadow and put it in the corner of your eye and alond the bottom eye lid.Make-up Tips, for olive skin, brown hair %26amp; hazel eyes?

    Hi there.

You can go to my web site. I'm a Mary Kay Consultant. Well you can go there and there is a virtual makeover, all you have to do is upload your picture and you can try on the makeup and hairstyles. The good part it's free. This is what i suggest you do:

    1) Take a picture of yourself (w/your homecoming dress)

    2) Then uploaded to your computer

    3) Go to my website

    4) You just click on Virtual Makeover

    5) Then you just click on upload picture

    6) Then you are ready to play around with color to see what color of makeup will be right for you for that special day.

If you want more information you can contact me at abby74919@marykay.com
i agree with rose. but you could get your make up done : D
Because it's a special occasion i think you should pay a professional to do your make-up for you (or get your parents to pay!). That way it will take the stress off you %26amp; you won't mess it up if you're nervous, plus, you can watch how she does it %26amp; ask her for tips on what suits you %26amp; the techniques she uses for next time you wear it. If that's not an option then just buy some good make-up, (i'm in the UK so can't really recommend any brands to you) in neutral colours %26amp; practice like crazy. You should definitely add to your list; cream blush, mascara, lip gloss, eyeshadow (possibly with a shimmer %26amp; always applied before mascara). If your skin's tone is even then don't bother with foundation/concealer, maybe just a little powder. Also invest in some good quality makeup brushes to apply it. The important thing is to have fun with it, you'll wear makeup forever so start getting used to it!

Any make-up tips for light brown skinned women?

i have oily skin as do most brown skinned people.I want to look natural but also stay covered if thats possible. thanks :)

what are some good foundation brands? eye make up tips and stuff would be good too.thanks i have oriental type eyes that need to look bigger! lolAny make-up tips for light brown skinned women?
Well your lucky that you probably don't need to wear a lot of makeup as your skin is brown and tanned looking already so I think a tinted moisturiser would be best for you - try benefit you rebel as it is ment to match all skin tones.

I always think shimmery pinks, greens and golds look gorgeous on darker skinned women as eyeshadow. Line the lashes with some dark grey or black eyeliner and use a white eyeliner to just gently run across the inside of your bottom lashes to emphasise your eyes and make them look bigger.Any make-up tips for light brown skinned women?

Have you tried a mineral powder for a foundation. It comes in so many shades and it is reportedly good for your skin. There are also make-up foundations that are suppose to convert to your perfect shade when you put them on, have not tried them though. Sorry can't offer tips on how to fix your eye make-up. Have you thought about going to a dept. store and having one of the make-up counter girls do your make-up? Some places charge a slight fee, other stores do not. If you can do this is might be worth a slight fee as they should know how to enhance your eyes. Most experts, from what I read, say that foundation is the one make-up that is actually better from a dept store than a drug store so it might be a good place to start. Then you could pick up you eye make-up at the drug store after you know what will work for you.
one step face base by virgin vie is great it gives a beautiful natural cover up

    you will love it
You have the perfect skin color.Try using an astringent, after cleansing the face, do not use bar soap designed for the body. There are facial cleansers especially for your skin type.Try any brand mineral make up, which is in the form of loose powder.Cover girl has an affordable mineral make up as well as other brands, depending on how much you want to spend.Use more than one color on your face, mix it up by shading, and blending.Be happy, you will always have a healthy look, given to you by mother nature.Mineral make ups add a glow to the face.Just give it a try. Your eyes may seem smaller to you, but if you want to make them appear larger, try a very thin eye liner, on the top and bottom lids. You may want to try mascara, but don`t over do .Oriental eyes are beautiful in any shape or size. If you like eye shadows, keep is simple and light.Avoid heavy foundations, they clog pores and if your skin is oily, foundation. is a womans biggest enemy. There are new foundations for oily skin, but i do not have much faith in them.Ty Dee C

    ty this only on u
I too am brown skinned and the best make-up I found that works for me is Bee-Luscious. It is the only one that really blends with my skin tones. Use a little mascara and eyeliner to make your eyes bigger. You didn't state the color of your eyes so that makes it a bit more difficult to give advise.
Um...I have light brown skin and I don't have oily skin. Whatever, get some oil cleaning wipes and stray away from makeup, it'll make it worse. But if you must, go with powder. I reccomend anything by CoverGirl, but Loreal Tru Blend is amazing. I don't really have any eye makeup tips, except rub some Chapstick on your eyelids before you use powder eyeshadow, and it'll stay on all day, then set it with your face powder. And don't wear eyeliner underneath, it makes you look stupid, wear it either all around, or just on top (makes your eyes look bigger)...yeah. Hope this helps.
Hi, Benefit do a lovely tinted moisturiser for all skin types and colour so it would suit you perfect its called 'you rebel', they also have a lovely bronzer called 'have you done the sexy sweep' its bronzer and hightlighter all in one, its perfect or they have a bronzer called hoola, i love benefit make-up, it lasts ages and not everly expensive, your local Debenhams store should have a Benefit counter

    www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk
okay- well use this stuff called clinique pore minimizing tzone shine control lotion ( its called something like that i cant remember lol) then for foundation use MAC mineralize skinfinish, for blush use jane shimmering blush in roses, lipgloss- milani glossy tubes ulta lip shine in dreamy glow. for bigger eyes use an eyeliner like physicians formula mineral wear eyeliner in black. for eyeshadow i think shesheido the makeup silky eyeshadow quad in desert winds, or mac eyeshadow in gorgeous gold. good luck!
Make up on young women is a waste of time. For you especially it would be better to do without with perhaps a good lipstick shade to suit your brown skin. Use moisturiser at night and every morning and that should be enough. In addition eat healthy food with plenty of water, fresh fruit and veg and no Junk food. Take regular outdoor exercise when you can. All this will do wonders for your looks.
The most important makeup products that should be used daily are concealer, eyebrow pencil, mascara, and lip color. Concealer will make you look less tired. Eyebrow color will give your eyes more character. Remember, you do raise your brows when you are surprised. Mascara will make your eyes appear larger than they are and more open. Lastly, lipcolor accentuates a lovely smile. Now you麓re ready to greet the world.

A fresh and natural look in makeup would be wearing a tinted moisturizing cream, a light blush or bronzer for your cheeks, a light coating of mascara and lipgloss. Let your natural beauty show through!

    Avoid

    1. Avoid products containing oil from petroleum. This includes mineral oil. Use oil-free makeup or makeup that is intended to benefit oily skin.

    2. Avoid makeup that contains alcohol. Alcohol will strip the skin of oil, which may cause the body to produce even more.

    3. Look for ingredients such as bismuth oxychloride and dimenthicone. Both can clog pores and may cause blemishes. These are commonly found in foundation or powder based products.

    Beneficial

    1. Find foundations that contain titanium dioxide, a naturally occurring sun protector.

    2. Makeup for oily skin should contain serecite to reduce the appearance of pores and help absorb oil.

    3. Kaolin clay added in foundation will help oil control.

    4. Zinc oxide used in makeup will act as an anti-inflammatory.

A makeup artist will use products designed for a customer's skin type in order to promote healthy skin. It is equally important for the makeup artist to become familiar with products and ingredients for specific skin care. Knowing how to take care of a customer's skin will benefit the client and the makeup artist's reputation.

hope it helpsDoes anyone have make-up tips for a fourteen-year-old with oily skin and small eyes?
I have oily skin also and I found that every time I wore makeup I broke out. Something I found that works to prevent it is if you're planning to wear concealer (try a hypoallergenic, powder-liguid one) and your going to be in a situation where your face is going to sweat (school dance, playing a sport) powder your face with baby powder first to help keep your skin dry. And make sure you wash your face very well after to get all the makeup off to prevent zits.
You should look for products, not neccesserily makeup that are for oily skin like moisturisers or face washes. But you can get some good foundations and powders that stop your skin looking oily, and for your eyes, try putting a bit of white eyeliner on the inner rims of your eyes or a bit on the inner corner. White eyeliner really opens your eyes up and makes them POP!
try using a primer on your skin before applying make up. it keeps your skin from looking oily and helps your make up last all day. also use oil free make up. mineral make up is also very good for oily skin. for your eyes try using a darker color eyeshadow towards the bottom and get lighter as you go up, it helps if the top color is white. also mascara makes your eyes look much bigger. but don't use too much eyeliner. sometimes putting a little concealer on your eyelid helps your eyeshadow last throughout the day and prevents your oils from soaking it up. i hope this helps.
    I'm 14 with oily skin too. :P

What I do is use proactive. It gets rid of the oil and it keeps away zits and pimples.

Also, you could try eyeliner and if your eyes are small you could make them look bigger by using eyeshadow underneath the crease and then a lighter shade above the crease.

These are the brands I use :

    Cover Girl {Pretty cheap, but not crappy}

    Avon {Fairly cheap unless you're buying 'MARK'}

    MAC {a little more expensive then the other two most of the time}

All of those work great for me. Well most products. :P

You can buy MAC at Shoppers Drug Mart if you've got one close to you...

Cover girl can be bought at zellerz or walmart

and Avon can be ordered from the site.

    www.Avon.com {American}

    or

    www.Avon.ca {Canadian}

Also, you could try a nice smokey eye. Just search it on youtube. :)

It looks good on almost anyone.

    Good luck. Merry 2009! :D
my skin is really oily too. victoria's secret has 'oil blotching sheets' that are great. they come in a small packet that way you can carry them around with you in your purse. whenever your skin starts to get oily, just run to the bathroom and dab it on your face. it makes it look brand new. for makeup? just use a light concealer close to your shade of skin. try mascara to make your eyes look bigger. but don't apply to much to where it looks clumpy. hope this helps :)
Neutrogena is really good for problem skin. Don't put on too much make up either it just makes you look younger. Try looking for this book:

well to make your eyes look bigger use white eyeliner on your waterline and to make your skin look less oily use a translucent powder on your face. i hope this helps :)

Do some Audre Hepburn style eyes!!! It's so cool looking! Start at the inner corner or your eye and draw a thin line with a bent eyeliner brush along your upper lash only, making the line slightly thicker just above your iris and then skinnier toward the end of your lash line. Then swoop the edge up at an angle to create a cat eye.

Girls-help!What make up tips can I use to look good in photos with flash?

Make sure your foundation is always the best you can get it, because this is the base of everything else, get this right and your set. Good looking skin will show in photos. Set you foundation wth a wet sponge it will stay on. Rest really depends on what look you want, I think liquid eyeline (thin or thick) on the tp lash line is always good, it makes your eyes look fab in photos. You don't need to wear alot of makeup but you can buy makeup that comes out good under light. Mac is really good for that.x.Girls-help!What make up tips can I use to look good in photos with flash?
first create a perfect base, because EVERYTHING will show up with flash, so use a light foundation and concealer under the eyes and on any blemishes, and then maybe a little powder if you tend to be shiny, but it's equally detremental to use too much, so try and strike a balance. then mascara is always a must, and use a subtle blusher to make sure you dont look washed out

xxxGirls-help!What make up tips can I use to look good in photos with flash?
apply moisturiser and then maybe some foundation. this will give you a flawless look. Also bronzer is good to use for photos as the light shows it more clearly and effectively xx

Make up tips! How can i impress the boys?

I was wondering if anyone know any good makeup tips or what makeup i should upply to impress the boys ;)

i wear a bit of mascara but it never really makes any difference and gets all lumppy. I don't want to much coz it will look like im trying to hard lol. Any tips??Make up tips! How can i impress the boys?
i also think that the natural look is much better. To me if you wear too much makeup it can make you look like a clown. Which i hope, is not the look your going after. I understand that alot of us girls like to look like the models we see in magezines BUT u have to under stand that they usually dont wear heavy makeup like that on an everyday basis. SO, with that said i suggest that you you a LITTLE white eyeshadow just too brighten your eyes. Apply it too your entire eye lid. A little mascara and an eyelash curler. And a soft tented lipgloss and TADA!Make up tips! How can i impress the boys?
welll i use the too-faced products and they work REALLY well! i LOVE IT!!! you should try it!! their too-face eyelash injection is the mascara and it is SOO GOOD!!! (btw its not really and injection!) i bought it at ULTA and i also found some other products there so just go there and try them!
Most guys prefer girls who wear very little makeup -- just stick to natural colors and you should be good!

However, there are exceptions -- my husband actually likes me in brightly-colored eyeshadow, which I found surprising because I've always heard that most guys think their girlfriends/wives/etc wear too much makeup! Plus my husband is pretty conservative concerning most things which makes it extra surprising...

Really the best way to impress the boys is to be yourself! Do you really want a boy who only thinks you're pretty because of the makeup you're wearing? Of course not! :) Wear whatever makeup makes YOU feel beautiful --- if you feel beautiful then the guys will see that and think you are beautiful too!

PS: If your mascara gets clumpy, you're either using a poor-quality mascara or are using too much of it. Also make sure you throw out your mascara every 3 months -- if you keep it longer than that, it can get clumpy, but most importantly, you risk getting an eye infection! My favorite inexpensive mascara is Maybelline's Sky High Curves.
well i like a natural girl,some1 who looks like they dont have makeup on,
Usually less is more with makeup. try using an eyelash curler w/ the mascara to bring out your lashes, make sure your mascara is no older than 3 months as that can make it lumpy. have a pro at the salon show u how to shape your brows .

use a little blush , i find that coverup usually ages a person and if it does'nt match your skintone perfectly it will make u look silly. don't wear shadows during the day.

Make up tips??!!Any help with putting makeup on without looking like you have it on? ?

use peach, pink, or nude eyeshadow. I suggest clear or brown mascaraa. A clear or lip color lip gloss or lipstick. IF you need to use blush put on a little and the color of your skin.Make up tips??!!Any help with putting makeup on without looking like you have it on? ?
go pale people! woot woot! lol

    ok

so for pale skin if you want it to look natural put the stuff on the place in betweet your eye and your eyelashes

do you know where i'm talkin about?

    then it looks more natural

and lighter colors. sparkly! looks really pretty. like light greens and light golds. dark colors can look cool but unnatural. if you have brown eyes go for a lightish blue color. if you have blue yes use a bit of brown eyeliner and use some gold on your eyes. for green eyes just use black eyeliner on the place i suggested. same for hazel.
I would probably say to not have smudges use a make up brush to apply or a makeup sponge For pale skin I would use probably colors.
Take much care when doing your make up to prevent smudging! Blending can be done by the finger or by a brush I recommend you get some good quality brushes to help you with that!

The colours that would go beautifully with pale skin in my opinion are cream/brown eyes with nude lips!
use light colours like baby pink, pale greens, lilacs...start with a light shade on the inside and use a darker shader on the corners of your eyes (outer) dont put too much or it will look like uve piled it on...use moisturising tint fir makeup and always use sharpened pencils for eyeliner (unless ur using liquid) so that it doesnt look messy and smudged. try not to use bright colours as they will make your skin look even more pale....use neautral shades and baby colours burnt rose is nice for blush effect and lips....MAC has a great range and they do makeovers.....why dont u walk into one of the counters and get them to show u how eye shadow is done :) they have a great range of colours to choose from aswell!

    gd luck

This is really easy for you to do- just buy a sandy, creamy colored eyeshadow and then a brown shade- one that will be a good contrast to your skin (not too dark).

Put on your eyeliner first, then put the creamy looking color on- not over your eyeliner that you want to see (but this can also help if you made the line too wide) then in the crease of your eye put the brown color. It shouldn't appear like layers- you only need a little bit; the more natural looking the better.

This creates a contrast for your eye- and put mascara and eyeliner on your lower portion of your eye. I have heard before about almond shaped eyes not having any make-up on their lower eyes; because it makes the eye look closed more.

PUT IT ON- it doesn't look good to have the eyelid portion of your eye done and not the lower one. Put the eyeliner on that little area close your lower part of your eye; it helps to give you the color that you need and the touch of make-up there, but also doesn't make your eye look closed.

Good luck and hope you understand all that I am saying.
Here is a link to a great website that lists all of the colors for brown eyes including makeup and blush.

    black eyeliner all around eye
Almay has a line of eyeshadows, eyeliners, and mascaras meant to bring out your particular eye color. You might try the one for brown eyes or the one for hazel. The theory is that you think in terms of the color wheel. Opposite colors contrast, thus emphasing the other. If your brown eyes have gold undertones, you might try purple-y eye makeup colors. I also have almond shaped brown eyes and I prefer either plum or gold tones. Hope that helps!
